My first ORAS mega set, and one quite complicated. Currently, Mega-Salamence is one of OU's best sweepers or late-game cleaner and it accomplishes this with exceptional ease. Base 95/130/90 bulk allows Salamence to to almost EVERYTHING. In fact, this mega is so broken, I wouldn't be surprised if it will be banned to ubers soon.

At first, Volt-Mind Raikou's moveset looks a bit scrubby: set-up then switch out? Wot? However, that is the beauty of it. This set feints an effective Choiced set and can retaliate with an unexpected Bolt-Beam combo. Considering Raikou's exceptional speed, this is quite easy achieved. Once you're done with the mindgames, Raikou also serves as a late or mid-game sweeper, easily cleaning up games with 1 or 2 Calm Minds. Overall, this Raikou set, although unorthodox, has proven to be quite effective, even in higher tiers.

Goddamn, this set is so awesome. Although the standard Sword Dance Mega Pinsir set is already an excellent Stall Breaker (or OU breaker, tbh), Substitute-Flail makes predicting much easier and completely destroys stall teams. This set was popularised by Paul Gilbert and is very satisfying to pull off.

Mixtini sorta sounds like a Martini... Anyways, Mixtini is great for fooling your opponent and then destroying them with a V-Create or Super Effective Move. This set feints a Banded Set (as most Victini's are), and surprises the opponent when they think you're locked into a move. Love it when they go "wtf". |
